Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. She was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five years old and attended an academy called the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. For several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing dance, acting and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had 8 consecutive auditions. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 it set new records in its first day sales as well as opening weekend takings. The film has been praised by critics for its film as well as the performances by the three principal young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's performance "amazing". Later Emma was nominated for five prizes for her work in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an feature Film.
